Cédric earned his M.Sc. degree from Université Paris-Saclay in 2002. He then pursued graduate studies at the John Innes Centre (University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK) under the direction of Prof. Chris Pickett. His doctoral research focused on the development and mechanistic understanding of molecular models of [FeFe]-hydrogenase. Following his Ph.D., Cédric conducted postdoctoral studies with Prof. Jean-Pierre Boilot at Ecole Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France), where he focused on the design of luminescent molecular clusters. He subsequently spent a year as a postdoc in the Laboratoire d'Electrochimie Moléculaire (Université Paris-Diderot), working in the group of Prof. Jean-Michel Savéant, and was appointed Associate Research Scientist at the CNRS in 2009. He worked mainly on molecular models for the understanding of proton-coupled electron transfer reactions. In 2017, he moved to Ecole Polytechnique to hold a Professor position and is now Director of the Laboratoire de Chimie Moléculaire.
